Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a charity based in Trowbridge, who are recruiting for a Youth Worker on a permanent basis, with a salary of £28,856 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have worked with disadvantaged young people in the past, promoted independence, and be passionate about educating and inspiring residents using the service.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Deliver engaging programmes and activities that support young people's learning, development, and pathways into education, training, or employment
  • Provide tailored support and mentoring to young people, including those with complex needs, helping them build confidence and essential life skills
  • Encourage young people to access relevant services and opportunities, offering practical guidance to help them stay motivated and involved
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where young people feel valued and able to grow
  • Work closely with families, referrers, and multi-agency professionals to ensure each young person receives consistent and coordinated support
  • Track individual progress, offering feedback and adjusting support plans to meet changing needs
  • Keep clear and accurate records of sessions, progress, incidents, and daily observations

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 9:30-5, Monday-Friday (one overnight shift per month, 1 weekend in 5)
