Social Media Executive – Birmingham / Hybrid – £27,000–£29,000

A Birmingham-based social media agency is seeking a Social Media Executive to join their creative team.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with supporting social media campaigns, influencer coordination, and client delivery across multiple platforms.

About the Role

You will support account managers and the content team in delivering high-performing social campaigns for a diverse client portfolio. Working across content creation, influencer marketing, paid social, and reporting, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth campaign execution and strong results.
This is a varied position suited to someone who enjoys both the creative and organisational sides of social media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, brief, and coordinate influencers for client campaigns
  • Track influencer deliverables, manage campaign timelines, and maintain budget trackers
  • Assist with boosting organic content and tracking paid campaign performance across Meta Ads and influencer spend
  • Liaise with account managers to optimise spend and placements
  • Design static and video content using Canva and CapCut
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions tailored to each platform
  • Plan and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms
  • Maintain up-to-date content calendars and ensure timely posting
  • Monitor social media and influencer campaign performance
  • Compile reports and share key results with internal teams
  • Use data to recommend content improvements and strategic adjustments
  • Support day-to-day client updates and contribute to content briefs and creative documents
  • Join team and client meetings, taking notes and following up on actions
  • Maintain organised workflows and campaign documentation

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in a social media role, ideally within an agency environment
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Proficiency with content creation tools such as Canva and CapCut
  • Excellent copywriting skills with ability to adapt tone for different brands and platforms
  • Experience coordinating influencer campaigns or paid social activity
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Confident communicator with client-facing experience
  • Passion for social media trends, digital content, and creative storytelling
