Job description

Our client, based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Repairs Scheduler on a 3-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £15-£16 per hour on an Umbrella basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience of using the Northgate system and have experience in a fast-paced environment.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Completing scheduling and planning on the team

  • Complete the backlog of repairs and closing them down on the system

  • Taking calls from tenants and customers in relation to repairs requests

  • Diagnosing repairs over the phone

  • Scheduling for Trade Operatives to complete required repairs/maintenance works and diary manage for all operatives effectively

  • Raising work orders for responsive and planned maintenance works for Surveyors

  • Checking all jobs are completed and reschedule at the end of each day, ensuring all time slots are correct and tenants are aware of appointment timings

  • Ensuring all call back appointments are arranged to complete outstanding/defective work and reschedule any follow-on work reported by operatives on site

  • Liaising with operatives and tenants, answering any queries and resolving issues where possible

  • Providing a high level of customer service at all times

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing

  • Experience working with customers within housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Customer service skills

  • Strong organization skills

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
