Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the East Midlands, who are recruiting for a Rehousing Assessment Officer on a temporary two-month contract. The position is due to start immediately with an hourly rate of pay of £16.80 via an Umbrella Company.
The role has hybrid working after you have completed an initial training period and has the potential to be extended. The ideal candidate will have used the Capita system previously, have experience working in housing admin and dealing with housing applications.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Effectively reviewing housing registration applications and checking the eligibility of candidates who have applied
Ensuring applications are submitted correctly on Capita
Cross checking the housing management processes using the organisation’s system and successfully entering and reviewing data
Completing all administration duties involved in the role and assisting across the department
Chasing tenants for relevant documents needed to accompany their applications using pre written letter templates
Recording all enquires on the system for the team to respond to when appropriate
Demonstrating strong administration and IT skills
Experience required:
Experience in housing administration
Dealing with the housing application process and updating the system accordingly
Assessing the eligibility of customers looking to apply for social housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
IT literate
Knowledge of housing eligibility checks
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
