Job description
We are currently seeking a Recruiter to join a central government department in Manchester on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis. This is a full-time position (37 hours per week). The role can be based predominately from home however there is a requirement to go into office when face to face interviews are held which will be on an ad hoc basis. The salary is £36,717 per annum.
This is a new role to assist with recruitment volume and requires someone who has a proven track record autonomously handing end to end recruitment requirements and building relationships with hiring managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of vacancies from briefing through to offer
- Provide regular updates to SLT with regards to time scales and progression of recruitment to hire and on boarding
- Partnering with hiring managers to provide guidance, recruitment best practice and market insight
- Advertising roles, sourcing candidates, screening CVs and conducting interviews
- Building strong relationships across HR and across the organisation
- Ensuring an organised, efficient and professional recruitment process
- Turn job descriptions into clear, engaging adverts
- Post roles across various platforms
- Reviewing applications quickly and consistently in accordance with EDI values
- Keep candidates informed at every step
- Brief agencies on role specifications. Provide feedback to agencies, feedback to successful and unsuccessful candidates
- Schedule interviews, prepare interview packs and coordinate with hiring managers
- Spotting patterns, bottlenecks or gaps - and suggesting practical improvements
About You:
- Proven recruitment experience (inhouse or agency)
- Confidence handling end to end processes from advertising to offer
- Strong organisation and communication skills and high attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of recruitment processes
- Ability to build rapport quickly and act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers
- Confident managing a busy caseload independently
- Adaptable, organised and able to learn new systems/processes quickly
- Friendly, professional and great with people
- Calm under pressure and steady during busy periods
