​Network Engineer

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000

James Andrews Technology is currently working in partnership with a leading education organisation in Brighton, who are recruiting for a Network Engineer on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with hybrid working options and a competitive benefits package including a generous pension scheme.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience with enterprise network equipment, routine maintenance procedures, and fault-diagnosis skills.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting critical network services within an enterprise IT infrastructure

• Managing and maintaining secure, reliable networks

• Liaising with colleagues across all departments to understand requirements

• Providing technical advice in clear practical terms

• Following change control procedures and documentation standards

• Transporting equipment and traveling to multiple sites

• Installing and maintaining networks across several campuses

Experience required:

• Practical experience configuring enterprise network equipment

• Experience carrying out routine maintenance

• Experience with fault-diagnosis and performance monitoring

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Understanding of the ISO network model

• Knowledge of LAN protocols

• Familiarity with enterprise networking technologies

• Methodical and accountable working approach

• Ability to collaborate and share knowledge
