Job description
We’re proud to be partnering with a leading and fast-expanding research University, who are looking for 2 Credit Controllers on temporary basis of three months, with the opportunity of extension or permanent contracts.
The role is a full-time hybrid position, offering two days working from home and is due to start as soon as possible.
Our client is looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience working within B2C and B2B clients., as well as strong communication and customer service skills.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Dealing with 5000-6000 live accounts
Working on a student ledger collecting student debt, liaising with students and parents over the phone, email and via letters
Acting as the main point of contact for all queries relating to student debtor accounts, including accommodation and tuition fees
Assisting with the enrolment period, administering standard payment plans with students over the phone
Assessing student financial circumstances with a view to make recommendations for non-standard instalment plans in line with the organisations policies or approval
Ensuring that debt is collected within set targets and outstanding monies are actively chased
Liaising closely with the Student Loans Company with regards to student tuition fee contribution queries and to investigate and resolve reasons for non-payments
Preparing any back-office administration, including evidence packs for senior management approval and audit, particularly where student debt queries have been escalated
Investigating and amending any internal errors for accommodation and tuition fee invoices
Maintaining communication records to support credit control activities ensuring compliance with universities standards
Building excellent working relationships with clients and customers across the board
Experience, skills and expertise required:
Experience working within Credit Control – specifically business-to-consumer
Background within Higher Education is highly desirable
Experience with debt collection
Good telephone manner and excellent written skills
Able to communicate effectively with domestic and foreign nationals
Strong customer service/communication skills
Detail-oriented and organised
Rewards and Benefits:
Hybrid working – two days working from home, with Wednesday as a core day
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday: flexible working with core hours being (10am-4pm)
