Job description

Our client, a City Council based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Childcare Lawyer to join their Advocacy team on a locum basis for 3-months initially.

The position is due to start immediately and offers a rate of up to £55 p/hour UMB.

The role offers remote working, with attendance required for Court hearings.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting court hearings on behalf of the Local Authority, in Children’s Law and other related matters

  • Handling a range of hearings, including directions hearings and contested hearings

  • Drafting orders and other documents, and attending advocates meetings and other meetings at times

  • Providing cover for other hearings as required, including those relating to Adult Services

Experience required:

  • Advocacy
