Job description

Our client, based in Oxford, is currently recruiting for a Housing Support Officer on a 3-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £15.00 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay).

The ideal candidate will have experience working within housing support, hold an Enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years, and have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring that income via rents and service charges are met

  • Liaising with residents, service delivery teams and third-party agencies

  • Providing intensive support and housing management services to a caseload of supported housing customers

  • Ensuring all properties are compliant with Health & Safety regulations

  • Supporting customers to create comprehensive support plans, set achievable goals and carry out risk assessments

  • Assisting customers with Housing Benefit payments and Universal Credit applications

  • Setting up and monitoring direct debits and producing arrears reports

  • Issuing NTQs and NOSPs to tenants as required

  • Addressing ASB in line with tenancy and licence agreements

  • Assisting with documentation for the beginning and ending of tenancies

Skills, knowledge and expertise required to be a Housing Support Officer:

  • Previous experience working within housing support or tenancy sustainment is essential for this role

  • Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 3 years

  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle

Working hours:

  • 37.00 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
