Job description
Our client, based in Coventry, is currently recruiting for a Service Manager on a permanent contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, working Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm and the salary is £32,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate must have worked with vulnerable people, led a team and developed a culture of creativity and innovation to deliver an outstanding support service. The successful candidate must have access to a vehicle and be willing to have a new Enhanced DBS carried out.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for the overall day-to-day management of a service supporting homeless adults over 25 who are living in temporary accommodation
Providing staff management to three Support Workers and four Concierge staff
Assisting the Head of Service with the full running of the service when needed
Helping deliver a fast-paced support service to vulnerable people in the community
Completing staff appraisals, improving morale and quality of work and monitoring KPIs to ensure service delivery
Assessing customers' benefit entitlements in complex cases and assisting them in liaising with relevant agencies to claim and receive payments
Experience required:
Managing services for vulnerable people
Understanding of housing management functions such as health and safety in properties and arrears management
Handling safeguarding issues, referrals etc
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff and vulnerable people
Ability to problem solve, and explore solution focused methods to solve issues
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
