We are currently working in partnership with a public sector organisation based in Bristol, who are recruiting for a Senior Procurement Category Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately, dependant on notice. The salary on offer is £51,753 - £58,225.

The ideal candidate will have an MCIPS qualification and proven knowledge and experience of PCR2015 and PA23 regulations.

Duties will include (but are not limited to): 

• Driving and maintaining improvement initiatives to support the procurement and supply chain department
• Maintaining compliance with PCR2015 and PA23 regulations throughout procurement processes
• Analysing and monitoring market trends to make informed procurement decisions
• Designing and implementing category strategies in line with organisational goals
• Securing optimal terms and conditions by leading supplier negotiations
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and opportunities
• Managing supplier relationships to ensure quality and performance standards are met
• Providing support and guidance on procurement policies and procedures

Experience required:

• MCIPS qualification or equivalent procurement experience
• Knowledge and experience of PCR2015 and PA23 regulations
• Strong category management experience working within the public sector
• Proven supplier management and negotiation skills
• Ability to develop and deliver strategic procurement plans
• Commitment to compliance and delivering value in procurement activities
• Ability to analyse market trends and develop improvements
