Job description
Our client, based in Norfolk, is currently recruiting for a Senior Housing Manager and is open to accepting applications on either a short-term temporary, temporary to permanent or permanent contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position and the permanent annual salary equates to: £38.727.00.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a complex needs service, hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years and have access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Ensuring the effective operational delivery of Housing Services to tenants, managing a staff team of up to 10 people including an Assistant Manager
- Developing and implementing a programme of housing related support and positive activities for tenants to develop the necessary life skills to move on and grow and develop
- Setting appropriate targets for the direct reports, monitoring performance and supporting them to maximise their potential
- Effectively managing the budget for the Housing Services and providing financial and statistical reports as required
- Ensuring that occupancy and move-on’s are maximised, and that voids, arrears and bad debt performance are minimised in line with key performance targets
- Making sure that the performance requirements of key stakeholders are met and attending external meetings as required
- To actively encourage a culture of involvement and inclusion of young people in the work and life of the YMCA, providing practical opportunities and Your Voice
- Completing monthly line management supervision and annual appraisals, ensuring a motivated and effective staff team
- Engaging in wider involvement opportunities and activities including national and international events
- Ensuring the health and safety compliance of the building and making sure all residents and staff are aware of expectations surrounding this
- Responsible for the management of License Agreements in line with legislation and best practice principles

Working hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm with the expectation to work on the on-call rota as required
