Job description
We are currently partnering with a leading Housing Association based in Liverpool, who are recruiting for a Junior Housing Management Solicitor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client is a large affordable housing provider and developer in the North West of England, managing over 8,000 homes and operating as a major regeneration group
This is a full-time position with a salary of up to £43,601 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.
This role would suit a newly qualified Solicitor, or someone who wants to qualify and is looking for support.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a varied caseload including disrepair, rent arrears, nuisance, debt recovery and gas access injunctions
Preparing cases and representing the organisation at court and tribunal hearings
Working closely with housing and operational teams to provide practical, risk-based legal advice
Supporting the supervision of junior team members on key workstreams
Helping to identify legal and regulatory risks and implementing effective controls
Delivering or contributing to training for colleagues to build legal knowledge across the business
Building strong internal relationships to ensure a seamless, customer-focused service
Requirements:
A degree in Law or equivalent and a professional legal qualification recognised by the SRA (or working towards qualification)
Experience of handling housing management legal work, including disrepair
Confident preparing and presenting cases at court (excluding trials)
