Job description

We are currently partnering with a specialist Housing Association operating across the UK that provides support to people with learning difficulties. They are recruiting for a Property Surveyor on a permanent basis, with an immediate start available. The role offers a salary of £47,059, plus a £4,820 car allowance and a £603 working from home allowance.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience within social housing, hold an HNC in Building Surveying, and be willing to travel across the Home Counties, West Midlands and South West regions.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying out property surveys across the West Midlands, South West and Home Counties

  • Inspecting void properties, producing specifications, and ensuring properties meet organisational and statutory standards

  • Managing Aids and Adaptations requests and liaising with Occupational Therapists and contractors

  • Conducting damp and mould inspections, identifying root causes and recommending remedial works

  • Preparing detailed schedules of work, specifications and cost estimates within budget and compliance requirements

  • Managing contractors and monitoring works on site to ensure high standards and timely completion

  • Ensuring all works comply with health & safety regulations, building regulations and social housing standards

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing

  • Experience working with customers within housing

Skills, knowledge and qualifications required:

  • HNC Building Surveying

  • Experience managing own workloads

  • Dealing with tenants in Social Housing

  • Compliance and due diligence

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
