Job description
We are currently partnering with a Housing Association based in the South-West, who are recruiting for a Residential Property Solicitor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
The Housing Association are proud to own and manage over 7,200 homes for rent and shared ownership in the South West and are growing. Their ambition is to build 1,700 more affordable homes by 2034 to help tackle the housing crisis.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £63,000 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing expert legal advice and support across a broad range of property-related matters within the Housing Association, including:
- Conveyancing
- Property security charging
- Disrepair claims
- Compliance
- Managing one Legal Advisor
- Handling a varied caseload, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting strategic property transactions
- Reviewing and preparing certificates of title and other security documentation
- Ensuring compliance with lender requirements and housing regulatory frameworks
Experience required:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience of housing law, property transactions or litigation
- Qualified solicitor status
- Strong experience within property law
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proven experience supervising junior legal staff or caseworkers, including mentoring and performance management (desirable)

Working hours:
- 37 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, flexible start/finish times
