Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a social housing provider based in Lincolnshire, who are recruiting for three trades roles (Plumber, Carpenter, and Plasterer) on a temporary three-month contract. All three positions are due to start immediately and offer an hourly rate of up to £28 paid on an umbrella basis.
The ideal candidates will have proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a social housing environment, hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, and supply their own van and tools.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Plumber
Carrying out plumbing repairs and installations within tenanted social housing properties
Diagnosing and resolving faults such as leaks, blockages, and sanitary system issues
Ensuring all plumbing work meets current regulations and safety standards
Carpenter
Installing, repairing, and maintaining doors, frames, kitchens, and other timber fixtures within tenanted properties
Carrying out first and second fix carpentry work to a high standard
Measuring, cutting, and fitting materials accurately to specification
Plasterer
Applying plastering work including patch repairs, skimming, and surface finishing within tenanted properties
Preparing surfaces and ensuring a smooth, high-quality finish
Repairing damaged walls and ceilings in occupied homes
Experience required:
Demonstrating carpentry experience including first and second fix, installations and general repairs (Carpenter role)
Applying plastering skills such as re-skimming, patch repairs and surface preparation (Plasterer role)
Plumbing experience in installations, maintenance and fault finding (Plumber role)
Bringing experience in a social housing environment as desirable across all roles
Supporting multi-trade maintenance activities while managing workloads and delivering high-quality work and customer service
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am-3:30pm
