Job description

Our Local Authority client based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a locum Planning & Highways Lawyer on a 3-month basis with likelihood of extension.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and offers an hourly rate in the region of £50p/hour UMB.

The ideal candidate must have experience of Local Government planning, and be able to attend committees in the West Midlands, on a monthly basis.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Drafting a range of planning and highways agreements, and advising on related matters, including enforcement, conservation and heritage issues, policy issues, parking, and traffic regulation

  • Advising at a range of planning appeals, inquiries and judicial reviews, and handling planning committees

  • Obtaining lawful development certificates as required

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday
