Forecasting Analyst

Our client seeks a Forecasting Analyst to provide data-driven forecasting that supports operational and strategic decision-making across their organisation.

You will build relationships with stakeholders and solution providers to deliver forecasting data in appropriate formats and timeframes. The role requires you to stay current with developments in data tools, analysis techniques and emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide forecasting data and analysis to support business planning
  • Identify, analyse and validate requirements for forecasting solutions
  • Measure and record the return on investment from forecasting activities
  • Identify projects where forecasting models can improve business functions and customer experience
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and promote the use of forecasting tools and analytics
  • Work with the Data Team to embed and automate forecasting insight
  • Research new technologies including IoT, smart homes, machine learning and AI for forecasting applications
  • Lead regular reviews of predictive models to ensure they deliver actionable outcomes
  • Build a network of forecasting contacts to share knowledge and identify best practice

Required Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in performance management or forecasting
  • Experience applying analytical skills to large data sets and delivering measurable change
  • Ability to understand operational delivery interdependencies and external factors affecting performance
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience identifying business requirements and briefing solution providers
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present evidence-based challenges
  • Strong attention to detail with methodical approach to work
  • Ability to write insight reports tailored to different audiences
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads
  • Commitment to making data accessible and central to decision-making
  • Flexible approach to working in a changing environment
