Job description
We are currently partnering with an award winning Bristol based Charity, who are recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor to join the team during an exciting period of transformation a 12 month FTC with the potential for a permanent role.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of c.£30,500 - £37,500 (subject to experience) with interviews ideally to be held before Christmas to prepare for a January start date. This is a full time, hybrid position with travel to the office required 2/3 days per week.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Ensuring smooth and accurate delivery of the monthly payroll to 1,100 employees and ensuring reconciliations are completed
- Ensuring all third party deductions made from employees are paid over accurately and on time to third parties
- Deputising for the Payroll Manager when necessary, including processing payroll through to balance, doing the BACS and paying the tax and NI to HMRC
- Producing reports to various sites, the finance team and other stakeholders
- Managing overpayments including communication with the manager and employee, tracking and recording repayments and communicating with all relevant parties
- Supporting the team and wider organisation through a period of change as they prepare for a new system implementation
- Providing leadership and line management for the Payroll Officer
Experience and skills required:
- Two years experience in a payroll position
- Intermediate MS Excel stills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
