Job description
A large and well-established education-sector organisation is seeking an experienced and highly organised Personal Assistant to provide dedicated support to senior leaders within an academic faculty.
This is an immediate-start opportunity on a 5-month temporary contract, is a hybrid position (2 days WFH) and is paying up to the equivalent of £35,331 on an hourly basis (£23.53 umbrella)
The Role
You will provide proactive and professional support to two Heads of Department and a Director of Operations.
Working as part of a collaborative administrative team, you will play a key role in ensuring senior leaders are effectively supported, meetings run smoothly and priorities are managed efficiently.
This is a hybrid position, with an expectation of approximately three days per week on-site in an open-plan office environment and two days working remotely (flexibility required to meet business needs).
Key Responsibilities
- Complex diary management across multiple senior stakeholders
- Coordinating and servicing meetings and formal committees
- Preparing agendas, collating papers and drafting briefing documents
- Taking accurate minutes and tracking actions
- Drafting correspondence, reports and presentations
- Acting as a key liaison point between senior leaders and internal/external stakeholders
- Managing incoming communications and prioritising responses
- Organising travel and processing expenses
- Supporting events and providing professional hospitality where required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience as a Personal Assistant supporting senior leaders
- Is confident, proactive and able to work independently
- Learns quickly and uses sound judgement when prioritising workload
- Is comfortable supporting formal committees and producing accurate minutes
- Has excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
- Is highly IT literate (Microsoft Office essential)
- Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately
Experience within higher education or similarly complex organisations would be advantageous but is not essential.
