Job description
Our client, based in Hampshire, is currently recruiting for Multi-Trade Operatives on a 2-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with the social housing sector and have extensive experience within the trades space across all trades.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Carry out carpentry works including hanging doors, fitting skirting boards and architraves, installing locks, fitting windows, and installing kitchen units
- Undertake basic plumbing repairs such as replacing taps, unblocking sinks, carrying out WC repairs, and identifying and resolving leaks
- Complete plastering and making-good works, including patch repairs to walls and ceilings
- Perform tiling and decorating works following repairs to restore finishes to a high standard
- Conduct general maintenance tasks including repairs to fencing and gates, flooring works, minor roofing repairs, and external property maintenance
Experience required:
- Experience required in Social Housing
- Attend occupied customer properties to complete repairs and works
- Resolve minor issues for the customer
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Competent in the core trade areas
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Extensive experience within the trades space
Working hours:
- 39 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 8:am-4:30pm
