Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Pontypridd, South Wales, who are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer on a temporary 6 months contract. The position is due to start immediately, with 20% working from home. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £24 per hour via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have access to their own vehicle, an enhanced DBS within 3 years or on the update service, have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Housing Officer duties.

  • Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer housing enquiries and tenancy management queries

  • Deal with all aspects of tenancy management for a patch of properties including signups, mutual exchanges, terminations and estate walkabouts

  • Conduct home visits with residents, discussing any concerns they may have and reporting any repairs and liaising with any external contractors

  • Deal with low level ASB, including taking down witness statements and carrying out tenancy audits

  • Carrying out a comprehensive viewing and sign-up process with new residents to ensure tenancy obligations are fully understood

Experience required:

  • Experience required working as a Housing Officer

  • Experience working with customers within housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and management

  • Financial management and budgeting

  • Compliance and due diligence

  • 28 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
