Job description

We are proud to be partnering with an award-winning Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Multi-Trade Operative (UPVC) on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based in Middlesex, with a van provided and a salary of £39,900 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have experience of UPVC repairs and all-round multi-trade experience within occupied properties.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Complete installations, repairs, and maintenance work, with a particular focus on UPVC/Composite units to encompass repair works which can include glazing, handles, locks, and finishes
  • Identify and carry out technical work as required, including but not limited to inspections, testing, diagnostic work, and installations
  • Work collaboratively with other operatives and teams to make sure we can address and update the customer on all their needs, not just the works you’re there to complete
  • Always provide excellent customer service, taking the time to listen, understand and then identify the best way forward
  • Carry out some minor after-trade work such as brickwork, plastering and basic plumbing
  • Complete work in line with the required specifications, current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards for such work, minimising damage to the fabric of the property
  • Experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar all-round multi-trade role within occupied properties
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Trade Qualification at National Vocational Qualification 2 or equivalent.
  • Certification for Fire Risk Assessment Works
  • Rewards and Benefits:

  • Van provided
  • Healthcare
  • Pension contribution up to 11.3%
  • Enquire about full benefits package
  • Working hours:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
