Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a growing, fast-paced online organisation with approximately 350 employees across the UK. This is a 12-month maternity cover role, offering the chance to work within a dynamic and commercially focused environment.
The hybrid role is based in Newark, is a full time position (37.5 hours) and is paying up to £55k DOE.
The Role
This is a broad, generalist HR Business Partner position supporting managers across the business. The role will suit someone who enjoys a varied workload and thrives in a hands-on environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a range of employee relations casework, primarily low-level absence, disciplinaries and grievances
- Supporting and leading on TUPE transfers
- Reviewing and updating HR policies and the employee handbook
- Coaching and advising line managers on HR policies, procedures and best practice
- Supporting wider HR initiatives and contributing to continuous improvement of HR systems and processes
The Candidate
We are looking for a confident and pragmatic HR professional who can build strong working relationships across the business.
You will:
- Have proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at HR Business Partner level
- Be confident managing a varied ER caseload independently
- Have experience supporting TUPE processes
- Be comfortable updating and developing HR policies
- Demonstrate strong coaching skills, with the ability to guide and challenge line managers appropriately
- Be tech-savvy, with strong HR systems experience and confidence using digital tools
- Be able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
