Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a local Council based in Gloucestershire, who are recruiting for a Housing Officer on a permanent contract. The position offers 1-2 days a week home working and a brilliant salary of £31,364 per annum.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing a comprehensive housing and neighbourhood management service including income, ASB and tenancy management
Ensuring the advertisement and allocation of empty dwellings is undertaken within the prescribed time scales
Effectively maintaining the conditions of the external environment of the managed area, managing service contacts and encouraging tenant involvement within the managed patch
Monitoring and identifying any cases of tenancy fraud and safeguarding by establishing partnerships and following recommended policies and guidelines
Handling any ASB complaints and mediating between parties
Efficiently address and resolve issues identified in all breaches of the tenancy’s conditions
Liaising with internal services and external agencies to ensure appropriate care and ensuring support packages are being delivered to vulnerable tenants
Interviewing witnesses and taking statements
Conducting regular estate inspections, identifying improvements and ensuring that estates are well maintained to meet the needs of our residents, liaising with other teams
Serving NOSPs, NTQs and attending evictions

Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
