Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a local Council based in Gloucestershire, who are recruiting for a Housing Officer on a permanent contract. The position offers 1-2 days a week home working and a brilliant salary of £31,364 per annum.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing a comprehensive housing and neighbourhood management service including income, ASB and tenancy management

  • Ensuring the advertisement and allocation of empty dwellings is undertaken within the prescribed time scales

  • Effectively maintaining the conditions of the external environment of the managed area, managing service contacts and encouraging tenant involvement within the managed patch

  • Monitoring and identifying any cases of tenancy fraud and safeguarding by establishing partnerships and following recommended policies and guidelines

  • Handling any ASB complaints and mediating between parties

  • Efficiently address and resolve issues identified in all breaches of the tenancy’s conditions

  • Liaising with internal services and external agencies to ensure appropriate care and ensuring support packages are being delivered to vulnerable tenants

  • Interviewing witnesses and taking statements

  • Conducting regular estate inspections, identifying improvements and ensuring that estates are well maintained to meet the needs of our residents, liaising with other teams

  • Serving NOSPs, NTQs and attending evictions

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
