Housing Litigation Solicitor
Job description
Our client, a London Borough based in South London, is currently recruiting for a Housing Litigation Solicitor on a 3-month rolling basis.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience of a wide range of Housing Litigation matters, with experience in ASB and repossession highly beneficial.
All candidates must be qualified with the ability to conduct their own advocacy, requiring an on-site presence of once a week.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Reporting into the Senior Housing Lawyer, being responsible for your own varied Housing Litigation
Handling a case load of routine, complex and potentially sensitive legal cases made up of contentious and non-contentious matters including advice on repairs obligations and other landlord & tenant related matters
Providing specialist and responsive legal and procedural advice to the organisation, colleagues and members
Providing legal representation for the organisation and act as professional legal advocate in courts and tribunals
Experience required:
Experience required in Local Government desirable
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
