Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Social Housing Provider, who are recruiting for a Damp and Mould Surveyor on a permanent basis.
This is a permanent position, with the client is offering a flexible salary up to £49,800 per annum plus car allowance and an extensive benefits package.
The ideal candidate will have extensive damp, mould experience and happy liaising with tenants in a friendly manner and explaining the causes of damp and mould.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Conducting detailed inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify damp and mould issues
Working knowledge of Awaab's law
Assessing moisture sources, condensation levels, and ventilation performance
Diagnosing causes of damp, including rising damp, penetrating damp, and condensation
Using specialist equipment to measure humidity, moisture content, and air quality
Recording findings accurately and producing clear technical reports
Recommending remedial actions in line with housing standards and best practice
Advising occupants and landlords on prevention and maintenance measures
Liaising with landlords, contractors, and housing officers regarding findings
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and housing regulations
Monitoring follow-up works and verifying effectiveness of remedial treatments
Experience/Qualifications required:
Experience carrying out Damp and Mould Surveys
Experience liaising with tenants in a friendly manner
Experience in finding the root cause of Damp and Mould
HNC or RICS membership desired
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week
08:30 - 16:00
Monday - Friday, Flexible Start/Finish Times
