Head of Treasury – Exciting Leadership Opportunity
We are thrilled to be partnering with a well-known and highly respected Housing Association based in Hampshire to appoint a Head of Treasury on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop a team of three, driving strategic financial management across the organisation.
Based at their head office, the role offers a competitive salary of up to £81,530 and the chance to make a significant impact on the Association’s financial strategy and growth.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Support the Director of Treasury & Financial Planning in day-to-day treasury management contributing to the achievement of strategic initiatives, as directed
• To support Director of Treasury and Financial Planning in raising funding for the group, minimising restrictions and costs for Abri
• To be a key player in Abri’s ambitions to raise sustainable linked funding, taking ownership for all reporting requirements, and securing low cost funding to enable delivery of Abri’s corporate objectives
• Research and recommend appropriate financial instruments, including funding and derivatives, to aid the business in reaching its key milestones
• To contribute actively in treasury negotiations, optimising value and suitability for Abri, including minimising restrictions and improving optionality for Abri
• Using effective reporting and analysis support the Director of Treasury & Financial Planning to enable effective decision making in treasury and funding matters
• Own all treasury activities, including the production of internal treasury reporting, and regulatory reporting through quarterly NROSH+ return to RSH, addressing any queries
• Lead effective management of cash surpluses to ensure liquidity is available when required, so that we do not default on our obligations and that excess liquidity is invested appropriately whilst adhering to the requirements as set out in our treasury policy
• Ensure counterparty risk mitigation, by thoroughly researching proposed funders, investments, other financial instruments and providers, to ensure adherence to Treasury Policy, proposing any potential counterparties to Treasury Committee
• Own Treasury Committee reports, ensuring the Director of Treasury & Financial Planning is adequately supported prior to each committee meeting
Experience required:
- Experience required in Education sector is strongly desirable
- Previous line management experience is needed for this role
- AMCT Qualified or Qualified Accountant with treasury bias.
- Ability to demonstrate successful senior leadership credentials and experience
- Experience of managing a team of professionals, to ensure high quality output and
ensuring all deadlines are met - Proven experience of building a high performing team, demonstrating credibility, strong
influencing and communication skills, personal drive and ambition to make a
difference
Systems required:
- Experience with Excel; Vlookups, summifs, Pivot Tables

Working hours:
- 37 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Hybrid working is available in this role
