Our client, based in Swindon, are currently recruiting for a Gas Engineer on a 3-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, offering an hourly rate of £37.00 per hour and a mileage reimbursement rate.

The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out works across void properties and be gas safe registered.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out Landlord Gas Safety Record (LGSR) inspections in line with statutory requirements

• Completing gas repairs and maintenance works in void properties to ensure homes are safe and ready for re-let

• Installing, servicing and repairing gas appliances including boilers/central heating systems, cookers, heaters and gas fires

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective remedial works

• Accurately completing certification, records and job documentation, including LGSRs

• Maintaining Gas Safe registration and holding relevant qualifications including CCM, cookers, heaters and fires

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing

• Experience working with customers within housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Working with cookers, firers and heaters

• Experience of landlord safety checks
