Job description
We are working in partnership with a Housing Association seeking a permanent Electrician to join their team with a salary of circa £36,000 per annum, covering a patch in Newark, Lincoln, Nottingham, Bourne, and Scunthorpe.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds Level 3 and 18th Edition certification, experienced in domestic and social housing maintenance, customer-focused, able to work safely in occupied homes, hold a full UK Driving Licence and willing to undergo a DBS check.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Delivering electrical repairs and maintenance, including inspections, fault diagnosis, and completing jobs efficiently while ensuring a high level of customer service
Undertaking additional general maintenance tasks such as basic carpentry, plaster patching, plumbing, and wall tiling as required
Using and maintaining company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently, including working at heights and in occupied domestic properties
Recording all repair work accurately using mobile electronic equipment and maintaining clear communication with customers and the back-office team
Complying with health and safety procedures, risk assessments, and safeguarding policies while participating in out-of-hours emergency services as needed
Experience required:
Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds Level 3 and 18th Edition certification or equivalent
Proven experience completing electrical repairs and maintenance in domestic settings
Experience working in property maintenance for a social landlord, housing association, or council
Ability to work safely in occupied homes, using a range of tools, equipment, and materials
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships
Full UK Driving License and ability to obtain a DBS check
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
