Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Greater Manchester, who are recruiting for a Electrical QS on a permanent contract. The position is due to start immediately, offering a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, as well as a host of benefits.

The ideal candidate will have a full complement of Electrical Qualifications, including 18th Edition and 2391, as well as a full UK Driving Licence.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working alongside the current electricians with a day-to-day run list of jobs, managing all aspects of electrical maintenance within properties
  • Overseeing programmes including CCU upgrades, fault finding, accessory changes, and electrical testing
  • Delivering high-quality electrical works in line with work orders and instructions
  • Contributing to the Direct Maintenance team's objectives, targets, and achievements
  • Working closely with the Principal Duty Holder to maintain compliance with NICEIC/CPS registration requirements
  • Acting as the primary point of contact with residents, ensuring repairs and maintenance are completed "right first time"
  • Carrying out works in line with organisational policies, KPI requirements, and schedule of rates to ensure value for money and efficient use of materials
  • Ensuring all electrical installation work complies with statutory and regulatory standards, including governance, health and safety, and financial probity

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing
  • Experience working with customers within housing

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm, flexibility on these hours
