Job description

 

Our client, based in Kent, is currently recruiting for a permanent Building Safety Technical Manager.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The salary is £50,614 to £63,268 per annum plus a Car Allowance of 2,329 per annum (salary offered dependent on experience).

Due to the nature of the role the client is looking for someone with a strong understanding with building safety inspections and ideally a qualification in fire management.

Key duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Deliver an effective technical and project management service relating to building safety and major compliance areas of Fire, Legionella, Asbestos, Gas, Electrics and Lifts  
  • Monitor the performance of contractors and consultants to ensure works, projects, programmes and services are completed to requirements and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with the Head of Building Safety and Building Safety Information Manager to deliver and maintain requirements of the Building Safety Act, to include, singing off of technical works within higher risk blocks, maintaining safety cases for each block and ensuring mandatory occurrence reports are submitted
  • Design and specify high level and complex building safety works, obtain estimates, ensure permits to work and oversee the delivery & project expenditure
  • Support the delivery of programmes to keep customers safe, providing advice to internal and external stakeholders and customers where required
