Job description

​We are currently working in partnership with a housing association that provides affordable housing for people across London and the South of England, who are looking to appoint a permanent Director of Governance, Risk & Regulatory Compliance.

This will be a full-time position, offer a salary of £115,000 per annum. The role is also able to offer hybrid working, with the seniority of this role dictating occasional need to be on-site at a number of different locations across the South of England.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing senior leaders across the key functions, overseeing a multimillion-pound budget, and acting as a key advisor to Executive and Group Boards

  • Shaping policy to steering regulatory engagement

  • Championing regulatory excellence and board assurance

  • Leading strategic servicing of Boards and Committees

  • Overseeing legal services and compliance frameworks

  • Driving risk culture and corporate assurance

  • Influencing policy, ethics, and data protection

Experience required:

  • Senior leadership experience in governance, legal, risk or compliance

  • Proven track record with Boards, regulators and complex portfolios

  • Deep knowledge of UK housing regulation, company law, and assurance frameworks

  • Chartered Governance Professional (CGIUKI) or equivalent qualification will be favourably looked on

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
