Damp & Mould Surveyor
Job description
Our client, based in West Yorkshire, is currently recruiting for a Damp and Mould Surveyor on a three month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The role offers a rate of £250 - £300 per day via an umbrella company, subject to experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Damp and Mould Surveyor, hold a basic DBS, or be willing to have one carried out, and hold a full UK driving licence.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Carrying out thorough damp and mould inspections across properties to identify signs of moisture ingress and potential risks
Conducting moisture readings using appropriate diagnostic tools to assess the severity of dampness and mould growth
Investigating the causes of damp and mould issues, including assessing building defects, ventilation, heating and insulation conditions
Recommending appropriate remedial actions and treatments to mitigate damp and mould problems in line with housing regulations and best practice
Producing detailed reports documenting findings, photographic evidence and recommended actions for property management teams and tenants
Experience required:
Proven experience conducting detailed damp and mould inspections using diagnostic tools to identify moisture ingress and assess severity
Strong expertise in investigating root causes of damp and mould, including building defects, ventilation, heating and insulation issues
Ability to produce clear, evidence-based reports with findings, photographs and recommended remedial actions in line with housing regulations and best practice
Experience providing follow-up inspections and practical guidance to tenants to support effective prevention and long-term resolution of damp and mould issues
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
