Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the East Midlands, who are recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor on a temporary three month contract.

The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £17.50 per hour via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have worked at a Housing Association before and have previously raised repairs on an inhouse system.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Being the key point of contact for those contacting the housing service regarding repairs and housing maintenance issues

  • Delivering an effective and efficient customer focused service to enable first-point resolution for all customers

  • Working with internal/external customers, sub-contractors, third party builders and their respective teams to resolve problems

  • Ensuring all customer appointments are attended on time and any materials required are sourced prior to the appointment

  • Liaising with Customers, Colleagues and Contractors – to ensure repairs are completed “right first time”

  • Updating and recording all customer enquiries on the relevant CRM and back-office systems

Experience required:

  • Practical experience of dealing with people

  • Participating in a team environment

  • Working in a contact centre environment

  • Working in a Housing related field

  • Practical experience of dealing with Digital Communications

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to communicate clearly & concisely both verbally & in writing

  • Ability to listen & interpret information effectively

  • IT & Keyboard skills

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday on a shift pattern 8-4, 9-5, 10-6

  • All office based, no home working
