Job description
We are currently working in partnership with Local Authority based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Criminal Litigation Lawyer on a three-month temporary contract basis. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and is offering an hourly rate of pay up to £45 via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will experience within Criminal Litigation law and specifically within the Local Authority setting. The role requires advocacy to be undertaken, in the courts based in the West Midlands.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Handling a varied caseload on Criminal Litigation matters on behalf of the Council
Advising in respect of selective and additional licensing schemes and enforcement work
Conducting advocacy as required in relation to cases involving trading standards, environmental health and licensing matters
Experience required:
Experience required in Local Government
Experience within Criminal Litigation matters
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday
