Job description

We are proud to be partnering with a Somerset based Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Compliance Officer on an interim basis for a minimum of three months, with a chance to be extended beyond this.

This will be a full-time position based in Somerset, with a high degree of flexibility of flexibility on working arrangement including home working and flexibility on hours. The hourly rate for the role is up to £30 per hour, paid via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Property Compliance, and strong database management and reporting experience.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying out and recording weekly fire alarm checks across buildings in across a patch of homeless shelters
  • Completing fire door inspections, corridor clearance checks, and emergency lighting checks, ensuring all buildings remain safe and compliant
  • Supporting with accurate and up-to-date property and asset compliance, helping to ensure systems are effectively maintained
  • Working with the Asset Management Team to improve existing systems and software, streamlining processes and enhancing performance.
  • Contributing to delivering a strong customer-focused service by managing correspondence, resolving enquiries promptly, and maintaining a professional approach at all times

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing
  • Experience working with customers within housing
  • A strong understanding of property compliance / the 'Big 6'
