Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Twickenham, who are recruiting for a Compliance Manager (Electrical & Lifts) on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately, and offers a competitive salary of up to £56,583 per annum.

This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm).

The ideal candidate will have experience successfully managing compliance risk in social housing and a comprehensive up to date knowledge of Electrical and lifting legislation and regulatory requirements, including basic lift safety.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Be the named responsible person for your service areas, making sure we remain compliant and meet our regulatory and legislative responsibilities
  • Manage external consultants, contractors, and specialists, making sure work is delivered in budget and on time
  • Escalate, investigate, and resolve examples of non-compliance, working collaboratively across the business and with external teams
  • Analyse feedback to make sure work is carried out in accordance with agreed service standards, legislation, and contract documents
  • Carry out quality control inspections, both directly and with specialist consultants
  • Chair contractor performance meetings and monitor performance against KPIs, developing improvement plans as needed
  • Develop technical guidance, training, and support for your service areas, and risk management for colleagues across the business

Experience required:

  • Leading a high-performing compliance team that delivers excellent customer service
  • Electrical and lifting legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to use data intelligently to deliver exceptional performance and a service

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • City & Guilds/NVQ 3 in Electrical Discipline AM2
  • C&G IEE Wiring Regulation 18th Edition
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIH, CIOB or NICEIC/NAPIT)
