Job description
Our client, based in the East Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Complaints Assistant (Repairs) on a 3-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £15-£16 per hour on an Umbrella basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience of dealing with complaints within social housing and hold a full UK Driving License.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing support to tackle an increase and backlog in complaints made by residents, predominantly regarding repairs and maintenance issues
Dealing with predominantly Stage 1 complaints, investigating causes and co-ordinating responses effectively
Accurately logging all complaints and raising these accordingly
Producing written response letters to complaints
Updating and communicating with all complainants throughout the process of complaints investigations
Ensuring all complaints are handled in line with the Housing Ombudsman code of practice
Drafting responses and providing informative information and facts to senior staff in order to make final decisions and sign offs
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
Experience dealing with Stage 1 complaints and investigating causes
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Strong customer service skills
Organisation skills
Knowledge of the Housing Ombudsman code of practice
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday (9am-5pm or 8am to 4pm)
