Job description

We are currently partnering with a leading Social Housing Provider based in Bristol, who are recruiting for a Commercial Business Partner to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Our client is looking for someone who might currently be in a project coordinator or planning type role that’s ready to take that next step into contract management. Experience in construction, property, repairs, maintenance or local government environments is desirable.

This is a full-time position with agile working and a salary of £35,000 per annum. The start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

·         Coordinating day-to-day activity with materials suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods

·         Monitoring KPIs across materials supply, waste services, subcontractor activity, and other contract areas

·         Acting as a point of contact for routine supplier enquiries regarding materials, waste services, and framework suppliers

·         Supporting operational teams in using correct procurement routes and approved framework suppliers

·         Supporting auditing of materials usage, order patterns, delivery accuracy, and expenditure

·         Raising purchase orders and processing invoices for materials, waste contracts, and subcontract activity

·         Maintaining contract and supplier documentation to an audit ready standard

·         Working closely with operational managers, finance colleagues, procurement, and the wider Commercial Team

Experience required:

·         Experience in procurement, materials coordination, supply chain, or contract administration

·         Experience raising purchase orders and working with purchasing systems

·         Experience in construction, property, repairs, maintenance, or local government environments is desirable

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

·         Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills

·         Ability to interpret performance data, KPIs, and supplier information

·         Understanding of procurement frameworks, subcontractor compliance, or waste contracts is desired

·         Knowledge of contract governance or commercial compliance processes is desired

·         CIPS Level 2/3 or interest in working towards a procurement qualification is desired

Working hours:

·         37 hours per week

·         Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
