Child Protection Solicitor
Job description
Our Local Authority client based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Child Protection Solicitor on a 3-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate on offer for the role is up to £60 per hour, subject to level of PQE.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within childcare law within the Local Authority setting, and experience advocating on childcare matters.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing high quality advice and support in complex and sensitive cases, including neglect, DOLs and forced marriage
Representing the client in public law proceedings, including contested hearings to achieve the best outcome
Conducting case management of public law proceedings in relation to children
Attending Legal Planning Meetings and other meetings as required
Undertaking advocacy on behalf of the client in the Family Court and the High Court
Experience required:
Experience within the Local Authority setting
Experience within childcare law
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday
