Job description
Our client, based in Leeds, is currently recruiting for a Chartered Building Surveyor on a permanent basis.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for this role is ranging between £60,000 - £65,000.
The ideal candidate will be chartered (MCIOB or MRICS) and have a broad range of experience working in a variety of sectors.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Ensuring that all surveying work is in full compliance with relevant statutory requirements and regulations
Integrating into the construction process from initial client brief to scheme design to detail design, building regulations, tendering processing, tender evaluation and recommendations to clients
Ensuring works are in line with contract requirements through efficient contract administration
Undertaking professional work and producing reports and schedules following initial survey
Producing management reports and communicating progress and forecasts to the client team, including all pre and post contract management duties.
Assisting and mentoring junior members of staff
Experience required:
MRICS or MCIOB
Wide range of experience on previous projects
BSc Building Surveying, Construction Management or similar or equivalent by experience
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Have sufficient breadth of technical knowledge and to lead on technical delivery and to be credible in the eyes of the Client
Be able to understand the technical and design requirements of projects and ensure compliance with the relevant technical, health, safety and environmental standards
