Our client, based in Leeds, is currently recruiting for a Chartered Building Surveyor on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for this role is ranging between £60,000 - £65,000.

The ideal candidate will be chartered (MCIOB or MRICS) and have a broad range of experience working in a variety of sectors.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Ensuring that all surveying work is in full compliance with relevant statutory requirements and regulations

• Integrating into the construction process from initial client brief to scheme design to detail design, building regulations, tendering processing, tender evaluation and recommendations to clients

• Ensuring works are in line with contract requirements through efficient contract administration

• Undertaking professional work and producing reports and schedules following initial survey

• Producing management reports and communicating progress and forecasts to the client team, including all pre and post contract management duties.

• Assisting and mentoring junior members of staff

Experience required:

• MRICS or MCIOB

• Wide range of experience on previous projects

• BSc Building Surveying, Construction Management or similar or equivalent by experience

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Have sufficient breadth of technical knowledge and to lead on technical delivery and to be credible in the eyes of the Client

• Be able to understand the technical and design requirements of projects and ensure compliance with the relevant technical, health, safety and environmental standards
