Job description

Our client, based across Greater Manchester, is currently recruiting for a Fire and Building Risk Surveyor with a salary rate of up to £38,960 per year (if this is below your expectations please still get in touch).

The position offers flexible working with a mix of later start times and working from home, and is due to start as soon as possible but notice periods will be taken into consideration.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience of Construction Design Management.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying out surveys and inspections covering parts of the building fabric to a diverse range of stock

  • Preparing tender packages for the various streams of works relating to the Fire Risk mitigation works

  • Assisting with the review of Construction Phase Plans and undertake site audits as directed within the wider team’s programme of projects

  • Responsible for overseeing Fire Risk Assessments and managing the delivery of mitigation works

  • Collating evidence to update database ensuring full audit trail

  • Supervising and overseeing Contractor Performance

  • Necessitating use of ladders and working at height on scaffolding from time to time

Rewards and Benefits:

  • 0.45p per mile rate

  • Flexible Working and Working from home is available (dependent on time management)

Working hours:

  • 36.25 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm (Flexible Working)
