Job description

We are currently partnering with a leading Property & Construction Consultancy, who are recruiting for Building Surveyors to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Our client is proud to have a bespoke range of services to corporate clients and public bodies across the UK and Europe, and with wider global capability. They have offices across the UK in London, Manchester & Maidenhead.

This is a full-time position with a salary ranging from £40,000 - £60,000 subject to experience and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Undertaking post contract administration duties including preparation of contract instructions, payment notices and certificates denoted by the relevant form of contract

  • Conducting investigative surveys in relation to building defects, cladding, damp and mould

  • Reviewing and issue site inspection reports from the site Inspector and monitor closure of items raised

  • Liaising with clients and contractors and assist as necessary regarding defects that arise during defects liability periods

  • Undertaking surveys such as scoping surveys and condition surveys

Experience required:

  • Degree educated & ideally with relevant professional qualification (MRICS, MCIOB) or on the path to achieving this

  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary organisation

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Building safety act regulations

  • Financial management and budgeting

  • Contract administration

  • Specification writing

  • 37.5 hours per week
