Job description
Our client, based in Essex, is currently recruiting for a Asset Manager on a 3-6 month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and offer 2-3 days working from home. The daily rate is negotiable dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience of managing planned works contracts and contract administration.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Manage housing Improvement, and construction contracts and be responsible for ensuring contractors plan, programme and complete works in accordance with agreed specifications and schedules and within set performance targets; complying with all current regulations
- Manage project works and programmes as detailed by the Planned Works Manager ensuring works are completed on time, within budget and to specification
- Ensure contracts are administered correctly providing work programmes, instructions, valuations. Project reports and budget forecasts / updates etc.
- Project Manage Tenant and Leaseholder alteration requests ensuring that alterations are inspected; permissions granted/denied and undertake post inspections once works are complete
- Liaise with Database Team and Inspector to ensure that Tenant and Leaseholder alternation process is documented
- Provide updates and reports to the Planned Works Manager
Experience required:
- Contract Administration of Construction Projects
- Maintaining working relationships with Sub Contractors
- Supervision of Dealing with customer complaints
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Working knowledge of building pathology, repairs, project management and maintenance process within a local authority, or similar organisation
- Working knowledge of an Asset Management database
- Knowledge of service level maintenance contracts
