Job description

We are proud to be partnering with a committed resident managed housing organisations, who are looking to appoint a TMO Manager on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time office-based position in Hackney, with opportunities to improve the lives and living situations of residents and a salary of £50,000 to £55,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building successful working relationships with the resident board members to deliver excellent customer service and provide leadership to the existing workforce to maintain the highest possible standards.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring that the TMO fulfils its management agreement with the council

  • Carrying overall responsibility for all the services the TMO administers

  • Managing, supporting and supervising all the TMO staff

  • Reviewing and updating policies and procedures where necessary

  • Prioritising repairs and ensuring that all works are carried out in a timely manner

  • Monitoring tenants’ rent accounts and ensuring payment plans are in place for arrears

  • Attending board resident meetings as necessary

Experience required:

  • Previous experience managing staff

  • Financial management and budgeting

  • Experience developing successful relationships with stakeholders

  • Experience in positions of leadership

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and management

  • In-depth knowledge of housing legislation

  • Compliance and due diligence

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Attendance at evening or weekend meetings may be required from time to time, for which time off in lieu will be given

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
