Exciting Opportunity – Payroll Manager
We are currently partnering with a facilities management company, based in Southeast London, who are recruiting for a Payroll manager to join their growing team on a temporary – Permanent basis!
The position is due to start ideally w/c 10th November and is on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday. For the permanent role, they are offering a salary of up to £54,000 per annum and a competitive hourly / day rate for the temporary role.
Please note the successful candidate will ideally have experience working with the iTrent payroll system and will have previous experience managing staff.
Duties will include – but are not limited to:
- To manage the end-to-end payroll processing, including the calculation of earnings,
deductions, benefits, and taxes - To manage and mentor the payroll team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and
professional development - To include conducting regular training sessions and performance evaluations to enhance the team skills and ensure high standards
- Ensure the accurate and timely execution of payroll on a monthly and weekly basis via BACS,
guaranteeing that all employees receive their salaries on time - To maintain detailed records of hours worked, salaries paid, and deductions, adhering to
legal and regulatory requirements - To stay abreast and keep the payroll team updated with changes in payroll laws and
regulations, to implement all necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance - To liaise with and attend meetings with management and external bodies, including
attending seminars for year-end legislative changes - To calculate and process annual pay awards once agreed by the Companies board, including
making any back dated payment - To calculate all Tax and National Insurance obligations accurately and send to the relevant
authorities, including Maternity, Paternity, Student Loan, Court Orders, ensuring adherence
to tax and regulatory requirements - To be the primary point of contact for payroll-related enquiries from employees and
management, providing clear and timely information and resolutions - Communicating complex payroll concepts in an understandable manner to various stakeholders
Experience required:
- Experience working within the iTrent system
- Have experience running the end-to-end payroll
- Ideally will have experience with staff management
Working hours:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday – Friday: (9:00am – 5:30pm)
- Hybrid working after the first few weeks – please note it will be full time in the office until then
