Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a recognised charity based in Congleton, who are looking to appoint a Support Worker on a Permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based in Congleton, with hours of Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, and a salary of £24,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working within homeless support and have a positive attitude when it comes to promoting independent living to homeless tenants .

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting a dispersed client group of rough sleepers across 8 properties

  • Providing referrals and signposting service users to various other agencies

  • Providing intensive tenancy support for various clients

  • Advising tenants and service users on Mental Health issues and substance misuse support

  • Linking in with other agencies regarding issues with service users

  • Ensuring service users are best placed to get on a path to independent living

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Supported Housing

  • Experience working with homeless tenants

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
