Social Media Account Manager – Birmingham/ Hybrid – £28,000–£32,000
Our client, a social media agency based in Birmingham, is seeking a Social Media Account Manager to join their growing team. This role requires someone who is confident managing client relationships, overseeing social media strategies, and ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple accounts.
The Role
You will act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing relationships from onboarding through to ongoing campaign delivery. Working closely with the content and creative teams, you will ensure strategies are executed effectively, deadlines are met, and clients receive a consistently high level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day contact for clients, building strong, trusted relationships
- Manage multiple social media accounts, ensuring deliverables align with agreed strategies and objectives
- Lead campaign planning, briefing internal teams and overseeing execution from concept to delivery
- Coordinate content calendars, approvals, and scheduling across platforms
- Review content and copy to ensure brand tone, accuracy, and platform best practice
- Monitor account performance, pulling insights and contributing to monthly reports and reviews
- Manage timelines, priorities, and internal workflows to ensure smooth delivery
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, grow accounts, or upsell services
- Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and industry developments
Essential Requirements
- Experience in a Social Media Account Manager or similar client-facing role (agency experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Confident managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management
