We are proud to be partnering with an award-winning charity with a CQC rated “excellent” service in East London, who are looking to appoint a Senior Substance Misuse Worker on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based in East London, office based with a salary of £29,651 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of substance misuse issues and ideally have experience working within a hostel setting.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing a caseload of clients with serious drug and alcohol issues
• Providing advice to junior staff on complex cases
• Creating and regularly updating Support Plans for clients
• Developing risk assessments to ensure the safety of clients and staff
• Liasing with additional support services to ensure the best level of support is being provided
• Providing advice to clients on housing and move on properties

Experience required:

• Experience required in drug and alcohol support
• Experience working with in a hostel setting

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Risk assessment and management
• Compliance and due diligence
• Working with clients with complex needs

• 40 hours per week
• Variable shift patterns – Earliest start 08:00 / Latest finish 22:00
• Every other weekend
